Updated Oct 16, 2026 · AION2 Status v0.5.1

In shortAION 2 Global has five regions, each on its own server clock — Europe on Berlin time, NA East on New York, NA West on Los Angeles, South America on São Paulo and Asia on Seoul. The daily reset hits all of them at once, at 07:00 UTC. Pick the region whose evening events fall in your evening, then check your real ping with AION2 Status.

Regions and server clocks

Global has five regions: Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia. Korea and Taiwan aren't part of Global; they're in the table for comparison. Every region keeps its own clock, and all events — Spacetime Rift, Watcher Kaira, Artifact Siege, Nahma — follow it.

Resets are shown on each region's own clock. On every Global server it is the same moment: 16:00 KST, 07:00 UTC. Server clocks from the plugin's timers.json.

Which region should you pick?

Go by time zone first. An event at 21:00 server time lands at 19:00 UTC on Europe in summer (20:00 in winter), at 01:00–02:00 UTC on NA East, 04:00–05:00 UTC on NA West, 00:00 UTC on South America and 12:00 UTC on Asia. Pick the region where those evening events fall into your own evening — and where your friends play. Then check your ping (see below).

Europe and North America switch to daylight saving time, and the events keep their local hour. So when Europe falls back on the last Sunday of October, a 21:00 event is still at 21:00 in Berlin but an hour later in UTC. North America follows on the first Sunday of November. São Paulo, Seoul and Taipei don't change their clocks. The full Europe schedule in your time zone is on the Spacetime Rift and events page.

NCSOFT hasn't published Global event times. The plugin's schedule is built from patch notes and client data — if something is off on your server, tell us in the Telegram bot.

Daily and weekly reset

The daily reset happens at 16:00 Korean time — 07:00 UTC — on every Global server at the same moment. On your clock: 07:00 UTC. Daily quests and dungeon entries refresh. The weekly reset comes with Wednesday's daily reset.

Korea has no daylight saving, so the reset never moves in UTC. On your server's clock it does: 09:00 in Europe in summer and 08:00 in winter, 03:00 and then 02:00 on NA East, 04:00 all year on South America. NA West gets midnight in summer and 23:00 the evening before in winter, which puts the weekly reset on Tuesday night there.

The plugin reminds you before the weekly reset. A day ahead, “Hiring scrolls — limit reset” shows up in the event list, and three hours before it glows gold — last call to buy.

Server and faction

Servers come in faction pairs. In NCSOFT's official server list each Asmodian server has an Elyos counterpart — on Europe, for example, Indnath (Asmodians) and Tiamat (Elyos).

The plugin asks for your faction, region and server on first launch. The server matters for the live field boss feed: spawn times differ from server to server, so pick the one you actually play on and the field boss timer will track your own Lagta and Gartua.

Changed your mind? Click ASM / ELY in the in-game panel header: the plugin switches to the paired server and loads the other faction's bosses. Click EU to change region.

How to measure your real ping

Ping is the time a packet takes to travel from your PC to the game server and back. The plugin measures it to your own server — the one the game connected to when you entered the world. It picks up that address at that moment from Windows' connection list and the game's log, read-only.

  • a reading every second and a live graph;
  • jitter in milliseconds and packet loss in percent;
  • in the main window, the login server's response time too.

Don't look at the number alone. A steady 60 ms with no loss beats a jumpy 35 ms with a couple of percent lost: loss is what causes rubber-banding and disconnects. If something's wrong, server status and connection errors walks through the usual fixes.

Why does another app show 1 ms?

Some network apps install their own virtual tunnel adapter in Windows. It answers pings itself, right on your PC — hence “1 ms” with zero jitter. That ping never even reaches the server.

The plugin spots the suspicious answer (1 ms or less) and measures the delay along the path the game itself uses: PC → server → PC. Once a minute it tries a regular ping again and switches back as soon as the answer looks honest.

Your real ping, in the plugin. Free, no install, right over the game.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is the daily reset in AION 2?

At 07:00 UTC (16:00 KST) on every Global server at once. In Europe that's 09:00 in summer and 08:00 in winter.

When is the weekly reset?

On Wednesday, together with the daily reset at 07:00 UTC. On NA West that's still Tuesday evening in winter — 23:00 local time.

What time zone do the EU servers use?

Central European time (Berlin, Paris). Events keep the same local hour when the clocks change.

How do I check my ping to my AION 2 server?

The plugin shows it every second with a graph, jitter and packet loss — measured to the server the game is actually connected to.

Why does another app show 1 ms ping?

A tunnel adapter answers the ping itself, right on your PC. The plugin detects that and measures the delay along the game's own path instead.
