AION 2 gathering map: where to farm ore, Odyle and herbs

Gathering nodes by zone

The plugin's map holds 4,722 gathering nodes of eight kinds: 1,803 in Altgard, 2,703 in Verteron and 216 in the Abyss, where Odyle is the only resource.

Everything is harvested with one skill, Essence Extraction: fill the success gauge before the failure gauge does. You can work a node up to three times, then it vanishes.

Counts come from the plugin's map data. We assign each node to the nearest area label on the map, so the per-area numbers are a guide, not a census.

What each faction gathers

The plugin's layers are shared, the resources aren't. Each Elyos resource has an Asmodian twin with the same recipes: Azpha does the same job as Aria.

AION 2 ore locations

Ore in AION 2 means Orichalcum, smelted into the ingots that weapon and armor crafting starts from. Altgard has 180 ore nodes, most of them around Fafnite Deposit. Verteron has 546, densest in Anguish Hill and Sabga Balaur Campsite. There's no ore in the Abyss.

Area borders are approximate. For the exact spread, switch on the plugin's Ore layer and every other node disappears.

Where to farm Odyle (Od)

Odyle comes as green crystals that usually float in mid-air, so you harvest them on your wings. Check your wing energy before you start: if it runs out mid-extraction, the node is lost with no reward.

Verteron is the Odyle zone — 706 nodes, densest in Cantas Valley. Altgard has 180. The Abyss has 216, the only resource there on our map, with Branding Island in the lead.

Gems and herbs

Gems are Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire, and both factions have them. Handicrafters turn them into accessory decorations, alchemists into powder. Radiant gemstones feed top level-45 spellbooks and necklaces, so don't vendor them.

In Altgard, gems cluster around Basfelt Ruins (~81); in Verteron, around Ardus Shrine Entrance.

Herbs are for alchemists: serums plus mana and life potions. They also drop a bonus Life Crystal that heals you instantly, so keep it. The most herbs grow around Calderon Canyon in Altgard and Cantas Valley in Verteron.

Cooking ingredients and wood

Vegetables, shellfish and berries go into Cooking, and each harvest gives 1 or 3 pieces. The densest areas:

• Shellfish: Altgard — Idun's Lake (~93), Verteron — Eastern Tolbas Forest (~32).
• Vegetables: Altgard — Silent Hill (~40), Verteron — Contaminated Marsh (~29).
• Berries: Altgard — Calderon Canyon (~29), Verteron — Eastern Tolbas Forest (~30).
• Trees (wood for bows, staves and paper): Altgard — Black Claw Village (~23), Verteron — Contaminated Marsh (~20).

Farming routes

Two short loops, teleport → areas → teleport, one per faction. We built them from the plugin's map: start at one statue, grab everything on the way and finish at another.

Altgard: shellfish, gems and ore

Start at teleport #54 Idun's Lake. Work the lake shore first — it's Altgard's densest shellfish spot. Then head north-west to Fafnite Deposit for a mix of gems, ore, Odyle and vegetables. Finish at teleport #48 Steel Hammer Workcamp.

Verteron: Odyle and ore

Start at the Valley Outpost teleport. Cantas Valley and its western part are Verteron's Odyle heartland. From there, go south to Anguish Hill: the densest ore in the zone, plus herbs, gems and berries. Finish at the Coastal Camp teleport.

Prefer your own loop? Right-click the map to drop a mark, and “Route here from a teleport” finds the nearest statue for you.

The Gathering layer in the plugin

The ≡ menu on the map has a Gathering submenu with eight entries, one per resource. Only need ore? Leave Ore on and the rest of the nodes go away.

The layer works on all three maps and right on top of the game. Turn the map's transparency up and you see the game and the nodes at once. Right-click to place your own mark with a name and an icon — say, “Herbs” — and get a route to it from a teleport.

The Gathering layer is part of Premium Map — 150 ⭐ for 6 months, bought right from the plugin. It also unlocks Hidden Cubes in the same areas and Empyrean Traces. Server status, boss timers and the full map with teleports stay free in the AION2 Status overlay.
