How many Hidden Cubes are there?
Each faction hunts cubes in its own zone: Asmodians in Altgard, Elyos in Verteron. There are none in Lower Abyss on our map, because the data it's built from doesn't list any there.

Best areas for Hidden Cubes
Here are the ten areas with the most cubes in each zone. An area is simply the nearest place name on the map, so treat the counts as approximate. The teleport is the statue closest to the middle of the area in a straight line, and the walk there can be longer.

Immortal Isle is the odd one out. It's packed with cubes, but the nearest statue is across the water, more than a kilometre away. It's also home to Immortal Gartua, so if you're flying out for the boss anyway, bring keys and clear the island.

Elyos get the same deal with Eternal Isle: lots of cubes, no statue of its own, and the closest one is across the water. That's where Eternal Gartua spawns. Eastern Tolbas Forest is the easy win: more cubes than anywhere else in Verteron, with a statue right next to them.

How to open Hidden Cubes and what's inside
A Hidden Cube only opens with a Hidden Cube key, and each key opens one cube. Without a key, the trip isn't worth it.
- Getting keys. Monolith Resonance levels, quests and shops. The Monolith levels up as you hand in Empyrean Traces, so feathers and cubes are worth farming together.
- Loot. Silentium, Soul Codex, Power Shards and Soul Crystals, plus a chance at a Lucky Aura or a skin.
- Empty spot? Cubes are shared by the whole server: whoever gets there first takes it. A marker means a cube can be there, not that it is right now.
- Not on the in-game map. The game doesn't mark cubes at all. Without a layer of spots, you're searching blind.
What to pick up on the way
Cube areas often overlap with gathering spots. In Altgard, Calderon Canyon leads for both cubes and herbs, Fafnite Deposit for ore and Basfelt Ruins for gems. In Verteron, Anguish Hill has the most ore and Krall Command Post is a good gem spot. All of them are in the tables above, and the full numbers are on the AION 2 gathering map.

Farm cubes faster with the overlay map
A browser map covers the game, so you end up alt-tabbing all the time. The plugin's map sits right on top of AION 2. To open it, hover any event in the in-game panel and click the row: the map stays pinned.
- Hidden Cubes layer. Click ≡ on the map and turn on “Hidden Cubes”. Every cube in your zone shows up as a light-blue diamond.
- Search. Type “cube” and pick “Hidden Cube”: all cubes in the zone light up as gold dots. Area names from the tables work too.
- Your own marks. Right-click the map → “Place a mark here”, then choose an icon and colour, “Chest” or “Flag” for example, so you can see where you've already been.
- Route here. Right-click a spot and pick “Route here from a teleport” to get a path from the nearest statue.
- Opacity. Shift + mouse wheel fades the map so it doesn't hide the game.

Our map has 2,811 spots where a cube can appear: 1,371 in Altgard and 1,440 in Verteron. Our data has none in Lower Abyss.
Where are the most Hidden Cubes?

Do Asmodians and Elyos share cube spots?
No. Asmodians farm cubes in Altgard, Elyos in Verteron. The plugin asks for your faction on first launch and shows your zone's map.
How do you open a Hidden Cube?
With a Hidden Cube key — one key opens one cube. Keys come from Monolith Resonance levels, quests and shops, and you level the Monolith with Empyrean Traces.
Why is there no cube at the marker?
Cubes are shared by the whole server, so whoever opens one first takes it. A marker shows where a cube can be, not that one is there right now.
How do I keep track of cubes I've found?
With your own marks in Premium Map: right-click the map → “Place a mark here”, then pick an icon and a colour.
